About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The journal publishes research and conceptual articles in the field of education focusing on the teaching and learning theories and activities on science education; social science education; and  linguistics and literature education.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Ilmiah Profesi Pendidikan is publish twice a year in May and November. Starting in 2021 Jurnal Ilmiah Profesi Pendidikan will be published four times a year, namely May, July, September and December. In 2022 the issue was changed to March (1), June (2, 2b, 2c), September (3, 3b, 3c) and December (4, 4b). Then in 2023 the issue will be changed again to February (1, April (1b)), May (2), August (3) and November (4). In 2024, the journal will be published in February (1), May (2), August (3) and November (4) Editions. 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethis

Jurnal Ilmiah Profesi Pendidikan is a peer-reviewed journal published by Faculty of Teacher Training Mataram University. This journal is available in print and online and highly respects the publication ethic and avoids any type of plagiarism. This statement explains the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the editor in chief, the editorial board, the peer-reviewers and the publisher (Faculty of Teacher Training Mataram University). This statement is based on COPEs Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 3 weeks.

 

Review Process

The author(s) may recommend a list of potential reviewers (title, name, institution, postage address, and email address) maximum 10 reviewers to review their paper. Authors can also propose that someone does not review (maximum 5 researchers) with a reasonable explanation. Reviewers must have the Scopus-ID or Researcher-ID (Thomson Reuters) or recorded as a first author in this journal with (minimum has) a doctoral degree.

Reviewers may also be invited from journals published by major publishers such as Elsevier or Springer. They must come from different institutions with the authors; preferably originating from different countries. Reviewers must not be subject to a conflict of interest involving the author(s) or manuscript(s). Nevertheless, the editor is not obliged to use any reviewers proposed by the author(s).

All articles submitted to JIPP will be read and reviewed blindly (double blind peer review) by (minimum) 2 Peer-reviewers who are expert in their field. The Editor may assign the Reviewer(s) from JIPP's Peer-reviewers, Author(s)' suggestions, other researchers, and/or other JIPP Editorial Members. The acceptance of an article by Editor depends on the novelty of the results of the research, significance of the article, truth of the content, the degree of originality, the clarity of description, and the conformity with the objective of the journal.

Articles may be accepted without revision, minor revisions, major revision, or rejected. The results of reviewed articles by reviewers will be notified to the author via email. The author is given an opportunity to revise his article based on the reviewers' recommendations (and editor) no later than 8 weeks after the email notification.

All incoming articles will be checked for authenticity to prevent plagiarism by using anti-plagiarism software. All articles published on JIPP are open access by following the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
