Abstract
Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi pembelajaran pada level pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Upaya pencapaian kompetensi ini mutlak diperlukan dengan menerapkan karakteristik proses pembelajaran yang bersifat holistik dengan mengintegrasi dan menginternalisasi kearifan lokal serta bersifat kontekstual. Integrasi nilai-nilai kearifan dan budaya lokal dengan kaidah sains disebut sebagai etnosains. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang bertujuan melatih berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru adalah inquiry-creative atau kreativitas ilmiah dalam kegiatan inkuiri. Etnosains dan kreativitas ilmiah dipandang sebagai infrastruktur pembelajaran yang dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Sebagai jembatan agar proses pembelajaran ini dapat terimplementasi di kelas maka dibutuhkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan perangkat pembelajaran model inquiry-creative terintegrasi etnosains untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru. Studi ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain “randomized pretest-posttest control design.” Dua kelompok sampel disiapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan mengimplementasikan perangkat pembelajaran model inquiry-creative terintegrasi etnosains, sedangkan kelompok kontrol dengan pengajaran ekspositori. Observasi kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru dilakukan pada kedua kelompok masing-masing sebagai pretest dan posttest. Hasilnya kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi perangkat pembelajaran model inquiry-creative terintegrasi etnosains berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru.
