Abstract

Keterbatasan pemahaman mengenai disabilitas tunanetra masih menjadi tantangan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif di lembaga pemasyarakatan, sehingga diperlukan upaya edukatif yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi workshop Braille dalam meningkatkan kesadaran inklusif warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas III Rangkasbitung. Dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan 25 warga binaan sebagai partisipan, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum pelaksanaan workshop, peserta belum memiliki pengetahuan mengenai Braille maupun pemahaman terkait disabilitas tunanetra, sedangkan setelah mengikuti workshop, peserta menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi serta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan empati terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa workshop Braille efektif sebagai media edukasi sekaligus sarana pembinaan yang mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran inklusif dan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, sehingga berpotensi menjadi alternatif inovasi dalam pembinaan warga binaan di lembaga pemasyarakatan.
