Pengembangan Model Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Cognitive Behavior Modification (CBM) di SMP Islam Al-Hamidiyah NW Kediri

Abstract
Pengelolaan pendidikan karakter di sekolah masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama karena pelaksanaannya cenderung bersifat parsial dan belum terintegrasi dalam sistem manajemen yang sistematis. Di sisi lain, pendekatan Cognitive Behavior Modification (CBM) yang terbukti efektif dalam membantu perubahan perilaku belum banyak dikembangkan dalam konteks manajemen pendidikan karakter di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model manajemen pendidikan karakter berbasis CBM di SMP Islam Al-Hamidiyah NW Kediri serta mendeskripsikan tantangan dalam pengembangannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate) yang mengintegrasikan fungsi manajemen pendidikan meliputi planning, organizing, actuating, dan controlling dengan prinsip-prinsip CMB. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan validator ahli. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, dokumentasi, observasi, dan validasi ahli menggunakan teknik Delphi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik sistematis, terintegrasi, dan aplikatif dalam penguatan karakter peserta didik. Model mencakup perencanaan program karakter, pengorganisasian tim pelaksana, penerapan teknik CBM seperti self-instruction, self-monitoring, reinforcement, dan cognitive restructuring, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan yang didukung buku pedoman operasional sebagai acuan implementasi di sekolah. Tantangan pengembangan model meliputi integrasi konsep manajemen dengan pendekatan CBM, kesiapan sumber daya manusia, adaptasi budaya sekolah, serta penyusunan indikator evaluasi karakter yang terukur. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa model manajemen pendidikan karakter berbasis CBM dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui pendekatan manajerial yang terstruktur, kontekstual, dan berkelanjutan pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama.
